Frequently asked questions.
What can I expect on my first appointment?
The first appointment with us is an Initial Evaluation. This appointment is about an hour long and includes a thorough review of your past medical history, current problem areas, and your specific goals. We then conduct a clinical exam where we will assess pain, range of motion, strength, functional movements, nervous system function and screen for any red flags. Typically at the end of the first session we will have some time to do treatment and review the treatment plan and expected healing timeline. You are the driver of your care, so although we will provide you with our expert recommendations, we always work together on a plan that feels good to you and is financially feasible.
Do you accept my health insurance?
The short answer is no, we are an “out of network” Physical Therapy clinic. That means we are not in contract with any insurance companies. You pay us just like you would for a massage, facial, mani/pedi, etc. This allows us to treat patients the way we feel is best, using the highest quality care and unique interventions that some insurance companies don’t pay for. Upon request, we can provide a superbill, or detailed receipt, that you can then submit to your insurance company with the possibility of reimbursement. It is your responsibility to touch base with your insurance company to determine if they will reimburse you for PT.
Can I use my FSA or HSA?
YES!!! We are happy to be able to accept both FSA (flexible spending account) and HSA (health savings account) to pay for all of our Physical Therapy and Wellness services. Make sure to ask your employer if you have either of these benefits available to you. Some of these benefits expire at the end of the year, so make sure you use it up!
Do you offer virtual visits?
When my business was founded in the middle of the pandemic in 2020, I was actually only offering virtual visits. Now that we have a brick and mortar location in Indianapolis, we offer a mixture of both in-person and virtual options for our clients. We are able to offer Physical Therapy evaluations and treatments through a HIPPA compliant and easy to use app that makes access to care a breeze. You can now eliminate long commutes and tricky traffic conditions with highly skilled Physical Therapy from the comfort of your own home. Virtual Physical Therapy is highly useful and we can make incredible progress toward your goals even through a virtual platform.
What is the story behind the name “Wildflower”?
When I had the idea to create my own PT business, I knew that I wanted it to be unique. I wanted to create a safe place for my clients to learn, grow and heal without the typical constraints of a very broken healthcare system. Wildflowers to me embody strength and resilience. They can weather many types of storms and grow in the most unsuspecting places. That’s my wish for us too.
