Plantar Fasciitis Tips and Tricks

If you’ve ever had this you know how much this hurts!! Like stabbing, aching pain in the bottom of your foot that gets worse with prolonged standing, walking and activity.

The plantar fascia is the connective tissue in the bottom of your foot that runs from your heel to your toes. It can become inflamed and irritated which causes pain.

If left untreated it can truly become debilitating... So make sure to get ahead of it with these stretches and exercises!! ⠀

⭐ Sock between the toes! This feels AMAZING (make sure to hide from your dog 😉 )⠀

⭐ Calf stretch knee straight—make sure your heel stays down, lunge weight forward to deepen stretch⠀

⭐ Calf stretch knee bent—same as above but you will feel it deeper toward the heel⠀

⭐ Big toe stretch—bend the big toe back until you feel a deep stretch! You can add a rolled up towel under the toes to make it even deeper⠀

⭐ Active push off mobility—start flat, shift your weight from back to front and lift heel, then toes as shown ⠀

There are SO MANY things that could contribute to plantar fasciitis, so if you’re struggling with this your best bet is to be evaluated by a PT!⠀
